The Multicultural Counseling Center (MCC) is staffed by licensed clinical social workers and mental health counselors who provide professional, compassionate care to our clients.

Mental health counselors are trained in counseling and psychotherapy to help individuals manage mental, emotional, and behavioral challenges. They address concerns related to mental health, relationships, education, and careers within ethical, developmental, and preventive frameworks.
Their work focuses on the short- and long-term well-being of individuals, couples, families, groups, and organizations. Counselors use standard assessment and evaluation tools, develop psychosocial histories, create treatment plans, track progress, collaborate with other providers, and coordinate discharge planning.

Self-Pay and Rates The Multicultural Counseling Center (MCC) provides self-pay options for clients without insurance or whose insurance is not contracted with us. Session costs typically range from $100 – $185.
Rates:
Diagnostic/Clinical Evaluation: $175
Counseling Session: $159
Immigration Evaluations (U Visa, VAWA): $150/Hour
Sliding Scale Fees For clients experiencing financial hardship, MCC offers adjusted self-pay rates through our sliding scale program. Please contact our Customer Service team and provide the requested documentation to determine eligibility.
State Grant Coverage In addition, MCC participates in several state grant programs that may cover the cost of services.

We accept payments by credit or debit card, as well as cash.

If you are considering using your health insurance, please verify your coverage directly with your provider by asking:
Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
What is my deductible, and has it been met?
How many sessions are covered under my plan?
What is my copay per session?
Please note: It is the client’s responsibility to understand what is or is not covered by their insurance plan. Clients hold ultimate financial responsibility for all services received at MCC.

No-Show Policy
Purpose This policy provides guidelines for managing missed appointments in order to minimize disruptions and ensure availability of services for all clients at MCC.
Scope The policy applies to all MCC clients, regardless of contract type or funding source.
Policy
Clients are permitted up to two no-shows before being placed on the waitlist for future appointments with a clinician, skills counselor, or peer support provider.
If MCC is unable to collect the no-show fee, the client will be moved to the waitlist.
Clients will receive a text notification after a no-show, including details of the applicable fee.
Extenuating circumstances will be considered if the client communicates with MCC or their provider.
Any outstanding no-show fees must be paid or a payment plan established before scheduling a new appointment.
No-Show Service Fees
Assessment: $100
Counseling (Therapy): $50
Skills Counseling: $50
Support Services (CM-PSS): $25
Groups: $15

We kindly request a 24-hour notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. If you cancel with less than 24-hour notice or do not show for your appointment, you will be charged a no-show fee of $100 for a scheduled DX Evaluation or $50 for a scheduled therapy session. Please note, most insurance providers do not cover these fees.

We can work with other insurance companies as an out-of-network provider. If you have any questions please call us at 801-915-0359. We are working to expand our services by contracting with other insurance providers. Often, there are options available if you have insurance through a provider that is not on the list above.
If you do not have health insurance benefits, we would be happy to provide our services to you at our self-pay rates. Please contact us if you need assistance in understanding your insurance benefits and eligibility.
