Evaluation Process

An immigration evaluation usually takes 4-6 appointments. The first appointment is an assessment appointment where the therapist and client establish rapport and get to know the background of the client.

As many individuals have experienced trauma, after the first session more details about the individuals life experiences are shared and to offer the ethical support system that is required when traumatic experiences are recalled, one or more sessions may be used to ensure the client is emotionally stable. After a throughout evaluation, another session is schedule for the individual to complete psychometric assessments.

Finally a last session is schedule to translate the report to the client and ensure accuracy of all information. Once the client has reviewed all the information, the report is printed and the evaluation is complete.
